In literacy we have been learning about two songs. We listened to two songs, they were by Michael Jackson and by Bruno Mars. We discussed and brainstormed the song title meanings. We then looked at the lyrics and what they meant. Treasure by Bruno Mars is about a girl is pretty and a star. Main in the Mirror by Michael Jackson is about hes trying to change hes life his action and his poorness.

Questioning

In reading we are learning to be a good readers. To be a good reader you ask questions before during and after you read something. We are learning to ask different types of questions. They are asking and answering questions right there question think & search author and me. This week we looked at a photo. In our groups we wrote questions about the photo. We decided that the people in the photo escaping or running from lava. After that we made a survival kit.

In Miss Goslins reading research group we are learning how to make reading fun.
Today we identified our reading interests and set two reading goals.

Today we listened to audio books. My story was about a comic. I learnt that there are black legs they go rampage they beat up the strikers. I didn't enjoy the story about the war because it was sad and people died. But the audio book helped me understand the words that I don't know. It reminds me of world war 2.

Today we wrapped up our sessions with Miss Goslin. We finished our flip/comic books that we had based off an audio book that we had read earlier in the sessions. We also discussed what we enjoyed the most in the sessions and how this helped our reading.
